- Pump (for inflatables)
- Straps (for hardtops)
- Rescue whistle
- First-Aid kit
- Dry bag/ waterproof phone case
- Rashguard/ board shorts
- Water shoes
Once you have put together your proper clothing and gear for your paddle, it is crucial to check the weather and water conditions. Your trip can be cut very short if you do not have ideal weather so be sure to download a variety of weather apps to ensure good weather.
Optimal conditions for those who are new to paddleboarding would be days with minimal wind. Wind under 10mph will help you learn how to control your board much easier, anything above 10mph will be much more of a challenge and could be unenjoyable for beginners. Overall, the most important thing you can do is know your own limits. Make sure you don’t find yourself in the wrong conditions for you and don’t forget to be safe and have fun!
